Fane Valley ask ICS Computing to Co-operate with them
1st September 2006
Fane Valley has newly appointed ICS Computing to Implement their Perito™ Accounts Software coupled with their mobile-based technology Perito™ Mobile.
Fane Valley Co-operative Society was established in 1903 by a group of farmers who wished to improve the marketing of their butter. Over 100 years later, Fane Valley is the second largest farmer co-operative in Northern Ireland involved in processing milk, red meat, cereals, potatoes and supplying animal feeds and farm requisites.
Fane Valley was running a number of different systems for its accounts payable, general ledger and accounts receivable functions in each subsidiary. Consolidating this information was time consuming and the systems themselves were dated, offering none of the analytical or reporting capabilities now considered necessary for a forward-thinking business. Fane Valley therefore decided to move all of its accounting processes onto a single system that would increase efficiency, reduce servicing costs and improve business planning and intelligence capabilities. More importantly, they would gain tighter control over data submission with everyone viewing exactly the same information.
Fane Valley began to look for the right accounting solution and because the company viewed implementing this solution as a long-term investment, it undertook an in-depth selection process. After long consideration, Fane Valley decided that Perito™ Accounts and Perito™ Mobile was the best fit and was capable of supporting the company well into the future.
The award of this contract adds to ICS's growing list of prestigious food distribution accounts including, PRM, Linwoods, Crossgar Foodservice and O'Reillys the Sweet People.
